The Downtown Development Authority has finalized the events for the first July 4th celebration Fennville has seen in years.
"4th of Fennville" has a unique theme to it's events. The DDA offered local groups to run booths where that group will be able to make the money for there organization. Many groups, such as the High School Football team, Cheerleaders, Boy and Girl Scouts have offered to run booths during the day of events.
The day will begin at 8:30am with a 5K run/walk sponsored by the Fennville Football teams. All proceeds will benefit the football program. Forms can be picked up at City Hall or downloaded. PDF FORM

The DDA will dedicate the park next to the post office at 10am. The park will be dedicated to Robert & Edith Hutchinson and be known as the Hutchinson Garden. The dedication is in appreciation to years of support that the Hutchinson family has provided to the Fennville community.
The day of events include watermelon eating and pie baking contests. Carnival games and classic summer refreshments will be available from 9:00am throughout the day until 2:oo pm.
Bruder Field is in need of updated lights. Schwan Foods has a great fundraiser program for any organization. The school has contacted Schwan and they will have a truck located at the event. Schwan will take pre-orders or you can buy from the truck. Schwan will then donate 10% of the sales. Details of this will be finalized soon.
